The Edit | Autumn/ Winter Weddings

Figuring out what to wear to a summer wedding is fairly simple. You can pick a maxi dress or a sundress, or pretty much any kind of dress. You can layer if you need to but not have to worry about being too cold or looking seasonally inappropriate. But dressing for a wedding past September can get a little more tricky.

How much layering is too much? What can you wear with a blazer?

About the blazer- suit pieces can always be dressed up and a blazer can really piece an outfit together. I personally love a two piece, but you can also pair blazers with a plain bodysuit or blouse & a midi/ maxi skirt.

Speaking of skirts, velvet is one of my favorite fabrics for this time of year and a velvet skirt is the perfect piece to add a little extra something without overstepping the bride. (or groom)

In the relm of dresses, you have the option of long sleeve or sleeveless paired with- you guessed it- a blazer. Maxis are gonna be your best bet, that way you won't have to layer with tights, and you can easily slip on a pair of pumps.

I've picked some of my favorite pieces from around the web for ya:
