Style Psychology | Why What You Wear Matters
I’m sure you’ve heard that it takes only seven seconds for someone to make a first impression. Seven. Seconds. 

In the time it takes to introduce yourself, the other person has passed judgement on you. & it’s not about how you say your name or how firm of a handshake you have. 

It’s about your style. How you present yourself. 

Roll your eyes all you want, but you gotta face facts. What you wear matters! I touched on this topic a tad in the first ever style psych post-  you can actually get further OR fall backward with where you want to be, depending on how you dress.

When you don't know what your personal style is or hide behind style walls that don't do you any good, you're telling the world that you don't care, even if that's not the case.

It's the same thinking as the athleisure epidemic- we get complacent in the 'like me for me' attitude, when unfortunately many times if we don't like what's on the outside, we are less likely to be interested on the inside.

Does that sound horribly superficial? Maybe, and while I'm not saying we should be superficial, it goes deeper than that with style. If we don't dress the part, it says we don't care about ourselves to care about our fashion sense. Not everybody has to be into fashion to be fashionable
